Parker Farley
Standing 6’ 2 ½” tall and carrying a well muscled 228 pounds, Ralston Valley High School senior, Parker Farley, is an imposing figure whether at the plate or at his customary position at third base. Amazingly agile in the field for his size, he is able to make plays that even much smaller players cannot. His arm strength is unparalleled, allowing him to make the acrobatic “off balance” throw as well be able to plant and make the throw to first base from deep down the third base line. His all around presence on the field has attracted the attention of collegiate recruiters around the country.
In the batter’s box, his quick powerful wrists allow him to hit with power as well as being able, and willing, to “go with the pitch” in situations requiring him to do so. The summer of 2011 found the 16 year old starting and hitting in the middle of the order for the 19 year old Colorado Rockies scout team, The Diamond Club. He was also chosen by several national organizations to represent United States in the Dominican Republic in December. His immense physical attributes and his ability to play many positions, along with the fact that he will enter college at 17 years old, make Parker Farley a player to focus on this season and beyond.
Parker’s work ethic and engaging personality create a platform from which to lead by example, keeping his teammates “up and focused” in both practice and in games. He comes from a family of Division I athletes, as is sure to follow the same successful footsteps.
